It's been pretty obvious to all that the company strongly opposes the union coming into our office. Some have said it is because we are afraid that the union will cost the company money. Let me say to you that this is absolutely untrue. The union contracts at our other locations, would in most cases cost us less and probably no more than what we are paying now, particularly if we were to include our next raise in the figures. The real reason why I and all of our management people are opposed to the union and the reason why so many of you are against it is because we know about the problems and hassles unions bring to the work environment. I have been at companies that have had to live with office unions and the amount of management time expended on unions and the problems they bring has been enormous—with no real direct benefit to employees.
