The US Supreme Court is scheduled to hear oral arguments on January 11 in a high‐profile case involving public‐sector workers that could have implications for private‐sector employers. The issue in Friedrichs v. California Teachers Association is whether a unionized public‐sector employer may compel employees who do not join the union to pay an agency fee.
