The National Labor Relations Board has issued a long‐anticipated decision in which a 3–2 majority chose to revise the definition of joint employer . The ruling makes it easier for unions to force parent companies to bargain when it organizes workers at an independently owned franchise or organizes workers at any company that supplies labor to a large corporation at one of its facilities.
