Le and co‐workers demonstrate that chromonic aggregates binding to a positively charged hydrogel network through ionic bonds can be uniaxially aligned during the swelling of the hydrogel. Such chromonic‐aggregates‐incorporated hydrogels are optically anisotropic and show anisotropic mechanical properties during stretching.
