Front Cover: Multilayer thin films deposited from water can impart a high oxygen barrier to polypropylene film. A 226 nm polymer‐clay coating improves the barrier of 17.8 μm thick polypropylene by 30 times, rivaling most inorganic barrier coatings. This coated polypropylene meets the criteria for food packaging applications. The cover image depicts the ability to protect bananas from oxidative degradation using this technology. Further details can be found in the article by Y. Song, P. Tzeng, and J. C. Grunlan* on page 963.
