Structure and properties of poly(methylphenylsilane) synthesized by reductive coupling of silyl halides with alkali metal supramolecular complexes: (Mt + /18‐crown‐6, Mt − , where Mt = K, Na; 18‐crown‐6 = 1,4,7,10,13,16‐hexaoxacyclooctadecane) were investigated. The coupling process yields polymers exhibiting narrow molecular weight distribution and number‐average molecular weights up to 8 500, cyclic oligomers being formed along with linear ones.
