In this article, we establish a norm equivalence satisfied by general monotone sequences. This is then used to show norm equivalences involving such sequences and trigonometric series with the elements of these sequences as coefficients. These equivalences generalize earlier results of Hardy and Littlewood, Askey and Wainger, Sagher, and Tikhonov.
