The paper deals with particular subclasses of the class of matrix‐valued Herglotz‐Nevanlinna functions. Characterizations of these subclasses via integral representations will be presented. Particular emphasis is placed on the discussion of the Moore‐Penrose pseudoinverse of these matrix‐valued functions.
