We prove a factorization theorem for functions in H 1 (ℝ n ) using generalized Morrey spaces. As a corollary of our result we show that if the commutator of Coifman, Rochberg and Weiss [ b , T ] is bounded on the generalized Morrey spaces, then b is a BMO function.
