We use perturbation methods based on inverse scattering transform to study the dynamical behavior of the kink‐antikink solitons exhibited by a driven‐damped sine‐Gordon equation with infinite boundary condition. It is shown that such solitons may be forced by damping and external forces to remain in a finite region instead of approaching infinity.
