The paper gives a characterization of right‐hand quotients A = A 1 ˚ A −1 2 of surjective operator ideals A 1 and A 2 which refers to so called “generating systems of sets”. Simultaneously the corresponding “inversion formulas” A 1 = ( A ˚ A 2 ) S and A 2 = A −1 ˚ A 1 are investigated.
