The last year has seen some deep changes in the structure of the editorial office. The editorial tasks have been redistributed between two groups within the Macromolecular Journals Team. Firstly, the so-called ‘‘Editorial Team’’ is responsible for administrative support of the editors and for the complete management of the manuscripts in the publishing process from acceptance until publication. Secondly, the editors – although with individual responsibilities for the respective journals – work together for the further development of the Macromolecular Journals, acquiring new and interesting contributions for all journals and handling themanuscripts on their way from submission to final decision through the strict peer reviewing procedures. This includes the choice of suitable independent referees and the final decision whether to accept or reject a manuscript on the basis of the referee comments. The two groups work closely together as the Macromolecular Team (cf. Figure 1) which we would like to introduce to you now, although you may know already some of them from conferences or similar occasions. The members of the Editorial Team are Inge Dittmer, Katja Kornmacher, Sibylle Meyer and Carmen Teutsch. Inge joined the Macromolecular Team in 2002 and her main tasks include the administrative work in connection with manuscript submissions, reviewing procedures and other non-manuscript related processes. Youmay have read her name on e-mail reminders asking you to send your revised manuscripts as soon as possible or to let us know your opinion on a manuscript. Katja may be known to the authors from the e-mails related to page proofs and reprint orders, because her main responsibility as Journal ProductionManager of theMacromolecular Journals is the coordination of the workflows between authors, typesetter and printers. She has joined the Macromolecular Journals in 2002 and has received anM.A. in English and Spanish literature from the University of Heidelberg. Carmen who has worked in the group of R. Zentel and received her diploma in macromolecular chemistry from the University of Mainz in 2005, has joined the team very
