Front Cover: Highly porous open cellular polymers are prepared from divinyl adipate (DVA) using a high internal phase emulsion templating approach. The temperature of the emulsion preparation and the surfactant concentration are most influential regarding the morphology of the new material. A high interconnectivity of the cavities and a porosity of up to 85% are achieved. Porous poly(DVA) can be degraded in a basic aqueous medium via the cleavage of ester bonds, the medium influencing the kinetic profile of degradation. Further details can be found in the article by M. Turnšek and P. Krajnc* on page 2528.
