Frontispiece: Synthesis of PEGylated, poly(lactic acid) (PLA)‐based nanoparticles (NPs), without the use of any surfactant or organic solvent, is shown. Monodispersed NPs, stable in physiological conditions and with sizes down to 90 nm, have been obtained through the direct semibatch emulsion copolymerization of modified PLA chains in the presence of vinyl‐terminated PEG that acts as a surfmer.
