Back Cover: Conformation of the polythiophene backbone repeat was modifiable by the formation of highly ordered supramolecular complex structures, such as layered smectic liquid crystalline and side chain crystalline phases. The side chain crystalline phases can increase the conjugated length of the thiophene backbones more than the less ordered liquid crystalline phases.
