Cover: Positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy (PALS) is used to study n‐alkyl branching (C 3 , C 4 , C 8 ) in polyethylene. It is found that the mean size of local free volumes, v h , increases linearly with the number and the length of n‐alkyl branches. A linear relation between v h and T g is observed.
