An anionic polymerization process was adopted to synthesize polymeric fullerene (C 60 ) derivatives. Ultraviolet/visible spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and gel‐permeation chromatography demonstrate that C 60 is chemically bonded to polystyrene, and that it is mainly bis‐substituted. The polystyrene‐C 60 derivatives are soluble in a variety of solvents, such as tetrahydrofuran, toluene, trichloromethane. The material exerts good photoconductivity.
