Cover: In situ visualizing a corroding topography and further measuring elemental corrosion currents provides in combination detailed insights into corrosion mechanisms at the nano‐scale. Using electrochemistry with a newly designed EC‐AFM cell and a spectro‐electrochemical ICP‐MS flow cell, oxide properties and protective behavious of passive films can be studied both spatial and elemental resolved. This was exemplarily applied to the potentialdependent passive layer growth and breakdown of nickel‐based alloy 600. More detailed information can be found in: Dominik Dworschak, Marina Bishara, Hsiu‐Wei Cheng, Markus Valtiner , Combining AFM imaging and elementally resolved spectro‐electrochemistry for understanding stability and quality of passive films formed on Alloy 600, Materials and Corrosion 2022 , 73 , 842.
