The protection for Al alloy is investigated through vapor phase assembly technology. The corrosion resistance performance of the assembled Al alloys is compared by the electrochemical measurements as well as hydrogen evolution test. The assembly sequence affects the protection of the complex films formed on Al alloy surface. It indicates that the complex films of base and acid assembly components have better protection effects. The reactivity between the assembly components and the formation mechanism of the complex films is analyzed. The alternative assembly of acid and base components enhances the anticorrosion ability of Al alloys and becomes the promising method for the use of the salt‐type volatile corrosion inhibitor.
