Cover: Galvanic corrosion of reinforced concrete structures is characterized by high corrosion rates, accompanied by severe loss of cross section. The visualization presents a modelling approach used by Michael Raupach in the course of his thesis. It is accounting for the polarization resistances of active and passive reinforcement as well as the concrete resistivity in a cracked concrete situation with coplanar arrangement of anodic and cathodic areas.
