Cover: Confocal laser microscopy (CLM) combined with electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) is a powerful set of tools for micro‐scale corrosion studies. The cover image shows an austenitic stainless steel after 3 days exposure in 30 vol% sulphuric acid. The difference in corrosion attack between the grains is given in grey scale (determined by the CLM), and the corresponding crystal plane parallel to the sample surface is given in the unit cube (determined by EBSD). The planes are further coloured using inverse pole figure notation. More information can be found in: D. Lindell, R. Pettersson, Crystallographic effects in corrosion of austenitic stainless steel 316L, Materials and Corrosion , 2015 , 66 , 727 .
