Cover: The cover shows experimental measurements and numerical simulation (applying FEM on the shown algebraic matricial form) when low conductivity irregularities are considered in the electrolyte of a cathodic protection system. As it can be seen, experimental findings agree very well with the theoretical results implying that the numerical equations and simulated approach can be used as a good tool for steel structure cathodic protection design considering high resistivity irregularities. Influence of position, geometry and conductivity of the irregularities was also investigated. More detailed information can be found in: R. Montoya, V. Nagel, J. C. Galván, J. M. Bastidas , Influence of irregularities in the electrolyte on the cathodic protection of steel: A numerical and experimental study, Materials and Corrosion 2013 , 64 , 1055 .
