Commercial formulations of 1,1,1‐trichloroethane contain a variety of organic compounds that serve as metal stabilizers. A number of screening tests are available for evaluating new inhibitor candidates. This paper describes a series of tests which together serve as a comparative screening evaluation for new solvent formulations.
