Back Cover: Protein, lipids, and water complexes in the gas phase can be studied using computer simulations; such aggregates can be detected by mass spectrometry, but not much is known about their structures. The state of the art in both experimental and theoretical investigations of these aggregates are summarized, and it is shown that proteins can remain close to their native state structure in the gas phase if they are treated cautiously.
