Cover: The SEM images show a poly(lactic acid) foam with high open‐cell content. The upper left picture shows a general view while the others show details of 2D‐cavitated foam cell walls. Elongated 100–300 nm cavities form perpendicularly to the main stress direction during foam expansion and lead to a fine lace‐like structure. Further details can be found in the article by M.
