Cover: A complexed poly(3‐hydroxyalkanoate) (cPHA) was isolated from sugar beet ( Beta vulgaris L. ), being a homopolymer of 3‐hydroxybutyrate with the acylated hydroxyl end (72 mol‐%). Also, the MALDI MS showed that beet cPHA has a slightly shorter chain length with a narrow molecular weight distribution than the known E. coli cPHA. Further details can be found in the Full Paper by Y. Suzuki, * Y. Esumi, H. Koshino, and Y. Doi on page 853.
