Front Cover: The photograph shows the main trunk of a Prosopis velutina tree bearing vitrified nodules of mesquite gum at the bark, a common phenomenon during springtime in the Desert of Sonora. The left top figure displays hydrophobic chromatography elution patterns of mesquite gum and gum arabic. Mesquite gum has been considered a potential substitute of gum arabic. The bottom figure shows Langmuir isotherms of whole and individual mesquite gum fractions of varying hydrophobicity forming monolayer films at the air/water interface. Further details can be found in the Full Paper by Y. L. López‐Franco, M. A. Valdez, * J. Hernández, A. M. Calderón de la Barca, M. Rinaudo, and F. M. Goycoolea on page 865.
