Innovation can no longer be relegated to one isolated part of the organization or to any one group of people. Innovation is not just a matter of encouraging more ideas when times are tough or when capital is abundant. Innovation is a matter of encouraging and quickly capturing ideas from wherever and whenever they may appear in an organization. Here's how to think in terms of delineating an Innovation Zone ‐ a protected space in an organization, an industry, or even a geography where the process of ideation can flourish no matter what the context.
