Lidow guides those who want to be considered entrepreneurial leaders, with an assertion that it is entrepreneurs who lead their enterprises to success, not just their ideas. He says they “must master five skills: self‐awareness, the basics of enterprises, relationship building, motivation, and change leadership.” The vehicle for accomplishing this is the personal leadership strategy. He details five steps: tapping into core motivations, finding objective mentors, inventorying your traits, assessing your skills, and, finally, drafting your strategy. An important feature for decision making is asking yourself what is the best and worst that could happen if you choose to do or not do a particular activity.
