Kawasaki believes that leaders should enchant their employees, who operate on the front lines of a business. This creates and sustains a sense of delight. It comprises such properties as trustworthiness, likability, endurance, preparation and overcoming resistance. He presents ten ways to accomplish enchantment, including providing a MAP (Meaning, Autonomy, Purpose), empowering people to do the right thing, and getting a devil's advocate. Be wary of money as a source of enchantment. Pay fairly, but make sure that employees work hard because they really believe in what the organization produces, not just for a paycheck.
