In article number 1900081, Xiao Lin and Baile Zhang reveal a previously unreported phenomenon of normal Doppler frequency shifts in photonic systems with a negative refractive index. Such a counterintuitive phenomenon is intrinsically connected with the backward Cherenkov cone, and it further intrigues the exploration of potential connection between Doppler effects and other motion‐induced physical phenomena, e.g., transition radiation.
