The Innovation Award Laser Technology is a European research prize awarded biannually by the association Arbeitskreis Lasertechnik e.V. and the European Laser Institute ELI at the AKL laser conference. The aim of the award is to honor an individual researcher or a project group for their achievements in the field of laser technology. The project must focus on laser materials processing or methods of producing laser light and yield a commercial value. The award includes a prize money worth 10,000 Euro as well as the titles “AKL Fellow” and “ELI Fellow”.
