Results: A significant association existed between CB and BSiCI (Fisher’s Exact test, p = 0.012). The block group was 5.53 times more likely to have early postoperative fever than no-block group, after adjusting for the other variables (Logistic regression, p= 0.004). There was no significant difference in the mean postoperative analgesic requirements between the two groups (Independent sample ttest, p > 0.05).
