Endoscopy is an integral part of the evaluation of a variety of otolaryngology-related complaints. Recording and archiving endoscopic findings is useful for a variety of reasons: the ability to compare examinations over time; as a contribution to medical research; and to improve colleague, trainee, and patient education.1–7 The cost of video recording and archiving units available from manufacturers of endoscopes is often substantial.5 In this report, we describe the use of a portable media recorder as an affordable solution for the recording and archiving of endoscopy findings.
