Procedures for the preparation of stationary phases for several silver ion chromatographic techniques have been surveyed. Thin‐layer chromatography (TLC), conventional (normal pressure) column chromatography, solid phase extraction (SPE), high‐performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) in silver ion mode have been considered. The utilization of these stationary phases for the analysis of fatty acids and triacylglycerols has been demonstrated.
