Abstract Cystosarcoma phyllodes of the breast appears to encompass a diverse group of tumors with variable clinical behaviors. Although the tumor can behave in a malignant fashion, metastases to the head and neck region are distinctly uncommon. A case is presented of a solitary metastasis to the mandible appearing 1 year after mastectomy and in the absence of widespread disease. The metastatic potential of this neoplasm is discussed and involvement of the head and neck region is reviewed.
