A case of extrameduflary pheochromocytoma in the organ of Zuckerkandl is reported. Moderately differentiated squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus was found concomitantly. Despite the significant elevation of catecholamine levels in the plasma and urine, the value of vanillylmandelic acid was only slightly elevated.
