Twenty patients with primary carcinoma of the lung were tested with migration inhibition test, using extract of cultured lung carcinoma of large cell type, Eight of 10 patients with localized disease had positive inhibition, while all 10 of the patients with disseminated disease had negative inhibition (x 2 , p < 0.005). Two cases of large cell carcinoma (localized) showed extremely positive inhibition which may suggest the presence of cell type specific lung carcinoma antigen.
