A therapeutic approach to thyroid cancer has been outlined. An effort was made to identify some areas of therapy which are controversial. Long‐term follow‐up of patients suggests that our approach is justified. It is recognized that there are still many unanswered questions and some of these may be concerned with immunological factors involved.
