We developed new light‐emitting films that emit linearly polarized light and exhibit transmittances over 90%. This film was realized through the development of a new pigment that demonstrated high orientation in film. The polarized light that emits from the film can be controlled by irradiating polarized ultraviolet light. These new films were used for the successful fabrication of a novel self‐emissive liquid crystal display that exhibited high transparency, high contrast, and good visibility.
