Ammonium sulphate fractionation of citrus flavedo callus showed considerable peroxidase activity with hydrogen peroxide and guaiacol as substrates. The activity of the enzyme was comparable to that of Sigma horseradish peroxidase. Citrus callus may be a potential source of commercial peroxidase enzyme.
