Fluoride contents of some vegetables commonly consumed in Nigeria have been determined by the standard addition method using a fluoride ion selective electrode. Most values ranged between 20 and 40 μg g −1 . These vegetables may provide a valuable source of fluoride since drinking waters in Nigeria are not fluoridated.
