Cider procyanidins were successfully separated by h.p.l.c on hydrocarbon bonded reverse‐phase packings with acidified water‐methanol eluents. Adsorptive separations were useful for low molecular weight procyanidins but generally suffered from excessive k values, whilst gel‐permeation separations provided less resolution than might be expected from consideration of the molecular weight range present.
