Albumin and globulin fractions of several varieties of Triticum aestivum and T. durum were analysed by disc‐electrophoresis on polyacrylamide gel. With this procedure 14 albumin and 15 globulin bands were obtained. After aniline blue‐black staining, all albumin bands were coloured blue‐black, whereas the globulins were green. Varietal differences were found mostly in the fast‐moving albumin electrophoretic bands.
