Measurements of deposits and residues, on fruit and in the soil, of insecticides used in trials for the control of the strawberry seed beetle, Harpalus rufipes Deg., have shown that aldrin is much to be preferred to dieldrin on grounds of efficiency, consumer hazard and cost.
