Mercury residues have been determined in apples which had been sprayed with mercury fungicides for the two seasons 1956 and 1957. The results show that under commercial conditions the mercury residue was less than 0.01 p.p.m. in 29 out of the 33 samples analysed, and less than 0.1 p.p.m. on the other four samples.
