A survey is made of the control of the Desert Locust by baiting, dusting, ground spraying and (more particularly) spraying from aircraft. Quantitative field assessments of each of these types of control operation, together with laboratory data on the insecticides concerned, are discussed as evidence of the potentialities and limitations of the methods and materials used.
