Electrophoretic diagrams of the expressible fluids of cod muscle have been compared with those of extracts at low ionic strength. A new component has been observed in the expressible fluids and some of its properties examined. Its possible sites in the muscle structure and its bearing on the nature of expressible fluid are discussed.
