Phenyl mercuric dinaphthylmethanedisulphonate has been investigated as a seed dressing. Considerations leading to the choice of this material are discussed and the substance is compared with other materials used in seed disinfection. It is shown that this material is an effective fungicide and of comparatively low toxicity to animals and germination.
