Raman spectroscopy was used to measure the wavenumber of the A 1 mode of CuInS 2 as a function of hydrostatic pressure up to about 5 GPa. This mode was found to have a linear pressure dependence of 5.17 ± 0.12 cm −1 GPa −1 . The Grüneisen parameter for this mode was determined as 1.33. Copyright © 2003 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
